The Country Club

Originally designed by Tom Weiskopf and a former host of the Philippine Open, the oldest national golf championship in Asia, The Country Club in Santa Rosa underwent a focused restoration of its greens and a remodel of its tees. The work included the restoration and refinement of existing greens and surrounds, along with the conversion of the putting surfaces from Tifdwarf to TifEagle bermudagrass.

Tee complexes were expanded and realigned to improve playing angles, visibility and overall presentation, while the existing Tifway 419 bermudagrass is being converted to TifEagle. The intent of the scope of work was to preserve the character of the course while improving playing surfaces, consistency and long-term performance.

Jim collaborated with Flagstick GCCM and Agronomist Hamish McKendrick on this exciting project, serving as both Project Manager and Design Consultant.
